Delightful Young lady:

Title: " Delightful Young lady"

Regardless of the way that she coming up short on normal excellence, every individual who passed by gave her a look. With skill, she measured the turns and curves of each gaze at her. With just a glance, she could determine who was evaluating her.. She had learned to recognize the intentions of those who gazed at her from the comfort of her home.

Her grandmother constantly shared stories about the covetousness in people's eyes. According to her, every look carried a different amount of covetousness. Therefore, she could decipher pining ganders, checking eyes, admiration, or indeed love. Occasionally, a perverse look from a boy would render her helpless, as if reading his character through his eyes.

The first day of college was full of emotions. Adapting to new surroundings came naturally to her, winning hearts was her forte, and captivating minds was her favorite pastime. She often said, "People often play with hearts, but I need to become the constant axis of conscious thoughts."

She didn't take pride in her beauty; she was certain. On the first day, every guy and girl in the class encircled her, except for one. Arham, who had secured the last seat despite being the first to arrive, spent the whole day without talking to anyone.

When the college's welcome party began, seniors played a song. When it was Noor's turn, everyone started cheering. Arham joined in but did not look at Noor. As the party came to an end, Noor's friend laughed and commented, "That green-eyed guy, he was giving you such dirty looks, as if he would own you someday." Then she continued to laugh, and Noor wondered why Arham's gaze seemed to seek approval.

Days passed, and hours in college flew by. Everything was fine, but Arham never looked at Noor. Sometimes, girls mentioned Arham, and sometimes, others would comment, "When he looks, he looks." Or, "Are those eyes or X-ray machines?":

Noor's anticipation turned into restless patience. On the fourth day of college, seniors initiated the arrangements for a welcome party. Noor, being the class representative, had some preparations to make. During the break, she started seeking advice. Her eyes fell on Arham, who was seated behind. She continued to observe him for a while as if he had been studying her character through his eyes.

In the evening, when Noor entered the college with full preparations, Arham was coming towards her with a confident smile. As he approached, he accidentally touched her register, and suddenly, silence surrounded him. Except for Arham, everyone seemed to fade away.

How could this happen? She tried to understand. How did she fall for such a big deception? Had Arham's gaze moved on to someone else in these three or four days? The paper fell out of Noor's register, scattering everywhere. With a sense of shame, she learned a lesson she had carried from childhood – to recognize character through the eyes.

Noor's eyes concealed black spectacles, Arham held a stick in one hand, and with the other, he carefully moved through the air, tapping the ground with small steps as if feeling his way forward. The world around him seemed to dissipate, except for Arham. How could she claim to understand a person's character in just a moment by looking into his eyes?

In these three or four days, no one noticed any other girl!?

Noor's register, with the papers scattered, became a metaphor for her shattered trust. Arham, with a stick in hand, a slow and deliberate movement in the air, and small steps, advanced toward her as if saying, "I am and Arham is coming!"
